On Thursday 4th June Room 20, Room 16 and half of Room 24 went to the Recycling Centre. We were all learning about what happens to the recyling.
We found all sorts of things being recycled, including paper, bottles, glass, cardboard, tins, cans, and car batteries (outside).
Taylah said "the man said the word plant a lot".
Miss M replied "he means the whole building and everything inside it, including the machines operating it".
Matthew liked the weigh bridge. Where all the trucks stop to be weighed.
Grace thought it was interesting how the machines sorted the rubbish.
Meg found out that the glass came out in little bits and then another company called Fulton Hogan make it into sand and add it to the roads.
Talia was impressed with the balls of rubbish.
Lucia liked all the glass being spat out of the chipper.
